ABOUT ME
Hello! My name is Hannah Javidi. I’m a researcher and educator working to improve adolescent sexual health.
I’ve been conducting rigorous health behavior research since 2018, when I entered the Teen Health Lab at North Carolina State University under the mentorship of Dr. Laura Widman. I continued this line of work through a postdoctoral research fellowship in the Department of Applied Health Science at Indiana University School of Public Health-Bloomington under the mentorship of Dr. Eric Walsh-Buhi.
As a public health researcher, I’m curious about what drives youth’s sexual behaviors and how these behaviors impact their social, physical, and sexual health outcomes. As an applied community psychologist, I’m committed to engaging adolescents in development, implementation, and dissemination of digital health intervention strategies to improve their overall health, education, and quality of life.
As of Fall 2025, I am working as a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at North Carolina A&T State University. Aggie Pride!!
